The newest phones on the market, which is better?
Motorola Droid, the new phone which has been created to combat the iPhone market, also dubbed 'anti-iPhone' with its 'Droid Does' titled advertisements, has a release date which is quite soon. The Droid runs on the Android operating system and will be distributed by Verizon Wireless in the United States. The phone has the ability to access the Internet using Wi-Fi, contains a 5 megapixel camera with video recording and night photography, a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, interchangeable battery and a full QWERTY keyboard.
Compared to the iPhone, the iPhone only has a 3.0 megapixel camera, no ability to take night photography and an on-screen keyboard. However, the iPhone has a very simple user interface and features an 'App Store' which allows users to wirelessly download applications for their phones.
It seems that the Droid will become a tough rival for the iPhone to beat. They even published a whole list of features that the Droid will contain verses the iPhone:
-Ability to run background applications.
-Allowing open development.
-Customization.
-Widgets.
-Ability to change the battery.
Since iPhone is currently the leading smartphone device on the market, Verizon is attacking those users. Are you tempted to switch to the Droid?
